Club Weekenders

Sometimes, it's not easy to go away on your own and we enjoy short and long breaks, as well as weekends away, with other club members. This year, we visited Slimbridge/Bath in January and Barcelona in March. In October we will be flying from Southampton to Guernsey for 5 days with the chance to visit Sark and Herm. In December there is a seasonal visit to Ilfracombe in December for a 'Champagne & Mistletoe' weekend and the following week, a 4 day break to Harrogate for the Yorkshire Dales Christmas Markets.

At present, for next year, we will be going to Rome in March, Southern Ireland in April and Turkey in May/June.

As you've probably noticed, the site has changed.

It is now based on a blog rather than the static files, so selected people can publish news articles easily. I have also linked it in to the events calendar - just click on the events link in the title bar and then the month you wish to view.

The calendar software has also been upgraded, which involved a bit of rewriting, so you'll notice some slight differences, such as the regular weekly events appearing in the monthly listings and possibly a few oddities that I haven't got around to fixing yet.

For those who add their own events to the calendar, I've included a login link on the events page.
